At Calce we have been manufacturing handcrafted footwear in Spain since 1959. All our shoes are made by us in our factory in Almansa, taking care of every step of the process. Here we solve the most common doubts about sizes, availability, shipping, exchanges and manufacturing times, so you can buy with peace of mind.
Ordering and availability
In Calce we are manufacturers and we work with our own production in our factory in Almansa. We manufacture our models in small batches, taking care of each pair and keeping a handcrafted way of working.
Although we update the stock periodically, it may happen that a size or model is sold out after receiving several orders in a short period of time. If this happens, we will contact you personally to offer you the best solution.
If you purchase a model that is not available at that time, we will contact you personally before processing the order.
In that case, we will offer you several alternatives: exchange it for another available model, request a full refund or, when possible, wait for us to manufacture your pair in our factory in Almansa.
As we are manufacturers, in some cases we can re-produce the requested model. If you choose this option, we will inform you of the approximate production lead time, which is usually 3 to 4 weeks, and we will only start the process when you expressly confirm to us that you wish to proceed.
We never manufacture an order without prior customer acceptance.
Yes. If you have any doubts about a specific size, model or color, please contact us before placing your order.
We will confirm if it is available, if there is a similar alternative in stock or if, in some cases, it can be remanufactured in our workshop.
Shipping
Once we inform you that your order has been shipped, the usual delivery time is 24/48 hours.
We work with express courier and tracking system, so you can check the status of your shipment at all times.
No. At Calce, shipments are free of charge for the customer.
We want you to be able to shop with peace of mind, with no additional shipping costs at the end of your order.
We currently ship free of charge to Spain and the rest of the European Union countries, as well as to Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, countries that are part of the European Economic Area.

Returns and exchanges
Yes. You may request a refund within 14 days of receipt of the order, provided that the product has not been used and retains its original condition.
At Calce we want you to buy with peace of mind, that’s why we manage returns in a close and personalized way.
No. Calce will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

Orders that are not in stock and are manufactured under express confirmation of the customer are non-returnable.
Before manufacturing an order, we always inform the approximate lead time and ask for the customer’s prior acceptance. We never start manufacturing without this confirmation.

All Calce footwear is manufactured in our own factory in Almansa, Spain.

All our shoes are designed, developed and manufactured by us in our factory in Almansa, a city with a long shoemaking tradition.
Because we work with our own production and small batches. We do not manufacture in large volumes nor do we depend on mass production.
When a size or model is out of stock, in some cases we can remanufacture it in our factory. This process takes time, but allows us to maintain the care, quality and craftsmanship of each pair.
Because manufacturing ourselves allows us to have greater control over quality, materials, lasts and finishes.
It also allows us to know each model better and to offer a more precise attention when a customer has doubts about size, availability or manufacturing.
Materials and natural leather
In Calce we work with natural leathers selected for their quality, touch and behavior.
As manufacturers, we choose materials with design, comfort and durability in mind for each model.
Yes. Natural leather may show slight variations in tone, texture, veins or wrinkles.
They are not considered defects, but characteristics of a genuine material. Each leather has its own personality, and that is part of the value of footwear made from natural materials.
Each pair follows our quality standards, but as we work with natural leather and handcrafted processes, there may be small differences from one pair to another.
These variations are part of the character of handcrafted footwear and careful, non-mass production.
We recommend cleaning the footwear with a soft cloth and using specific products according to the type of leather.
It is also important to avoid direct exposure to heat sources, excessive humidity and to store shoes in a dry and ventilated place.
